Making sure that the UK position on a range of issues is put across effectively to a wide Japanese audience is an important contribution to achieving our political, business and other objectives in Japan. The Media and Communication uses a variety of public diplomacy activities to do this, including speeches and presentations to targeted audiences, interviews and articles in the media, the publication of magazines and brochures, the distribution of policy statements and speeches by British government ministers, and providing responses to the more than 10,000 enquiries about Britain received every year from the public.
