Japan British Society

The Japan-British Society was founded in 1908 to promote cordial relations between the peoples of the United Kingdom and Japan. Today this thriving body has over two thousand members and is supported by more than 100 corporate members. The Society provides an important and attractive forum within which members of both nationalities meet for social and cultural exchanges on an informal and friendly basis. The Society's regular events are an Annual Dinner, a Gala Party, the Princess Chichibu Memorial Lecture and the Annual Golf Tournament for the Princess Chichibu Trophy. In addition, the Society arranges Business Forum meetings, lectures, parties, outings and so on. Membership of the Society is open to anyone with an interest in the cause of UK-Japanese relations, and on the recommendation of a member of the Society.
